Orenco Robotics Score Big at Intel Tournament

December 18, 2019 - Congratulations to the Orenco Elementary LEGO Robotics who sent 2 teams to the Intel Regional Qualifying Tournament on Saturday, Dec. 14. Their hard work and dedication paid off and both teams were amazingly successful. The Ultimate Builder Bots team made up of 4th and 5th graders earned an ACE Invitation to attend the state competition in January. The 6th grade team called Infinity 8 won second place overall at the tournament and will also be competing at the state tournament.

Says Orenco 4th grade teacher and STEAM Coordinator Nikki Beale: "I am incredibly proud of both teams and their hard work. State is January 18th and 19th at Liberty High!" Both teams would like to send a big thanks to the parents and community members who supported the teams.
